Picture leaving Mytilene behind and following the coast road north, the sea flashing between olive trees until the castle at Molyvos appears above its harbour. On a quad-bike, the whole of Lesbos opens up like this — the rock-top chapel at Petra one morning, the wild, empty roads to the Petrified Forest of Sigri the next. This is an island built for slow discovery, and a quad gives you the freedom to do it on your own schedule.
Lesbos is bigger and wilder than most visitors expect, and its best places rarely sit near a bus route. Distances between the coast and the mountain villages are long, roads outside the main towns turn narrow and partly unpaved, and public transport barely reaches the west of the island at all. A quad-bike handles that terrain far more comfortably than a scooter, which is exactly why it's the vehicle of choice for reaching remote spots without worrying about the road surface underneath you.
You'll need a valid driving licence — the exact category depends on how the quad is registered, so it's worth confirming with the rental company when you book. Non-EU visitors should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their licence. Most operators set a minimum age around 18-21 and take a deposit, usually as a credit-card hold, with the amount varying by operator and engine size.
Average rental price runs 15-20 EUR per day in low season and 30-40 EUR per day in high season, with larger 300cc-plus models reaching 40-55 EUR per day during peak weeks.
High season runs July through August, when demand is strongest, quads sell out fast, and prices sit at their yearly peak. Low season stretches from November to March, with most rental shops shut for the winter altogether. If you want the best combination of good weather and lower prices, aim for May-June or September-October and book a little ahead to lock in your rate.
Greece drives on the right, and helmets are compulsory for every rider and passenger — enforcement is strict and fines add up quickly. Speed limits are 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open road, though island routes rarely call for anything close to that given the bends and loose gravel. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l for most drivers, tightening to 0.2 g/l for novice licence holders. Keep in mind that rental insurance almost always excludes unpaved roads, dirt tracks and beaches, so it pays to check the terrain before you go exploring off the tarmac.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
