Kasos rewards the traveller who's willing to leave the paved bit behind. Once you clear the harbour at Fry, the island turns into dirt track and goat trail, and a quad bike rental in Kasos is what actually gets you to the good stuff — the sea caves at Avlaki, the arch at Tripitos, the long empty sweep of Helatros beach on the wild south coast. This is not a place you tick off from a bus window; it's one you ride into.
Kasos is small — under 12km across — but it's rough. Most of the island beyond Fry is unpaved, and a scooter or rental car will turn back where a quad keeps going. The extra ground clearance and stability matter far more here than top speed, especially on the gravel approach to Agia Marina's caves or the track down to Helatros. Short distances, rough roads: it's a combination built for four wheels and knobby tyres, not two.
You'll need a driving licence to rent a quad in Greece — the exact category depends on how the vehicle is registered, so it's worth confirming with the rental company when you book. Non-EU visitors should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence. Expect a minimum age requirement and a deposit, usually held on a credit card, with the amount set by the individual operator.
Prices in Kasos move a lot with the season:
July and August are Kasos's high season — the busiest and priciest months, with quads booking out fast on such a small island. November to March is low season with the cheapest rates, though many shops close for winter and availability can be thin. April, May, June and October sit comfortably in between: quieter, noticeably cheaper than peak summer, and a good stretch to plan a quad bike hire in Kasos around.
Greece drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for every rider on board, and police enforcement is strict, with substantial fines for skipping one. Speed limits run up to 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open road, though on Kasos's dirt tracks you'll rarely get close. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l for most drivers. Keep in mind that rental insurance almost always excludes unpaved roads and off-road use — ask your operator exactly what's covered before you head off toward the caves or the south coast, since leaving the tarmac can void your cover entirely.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
