The Argolic plain rewards anyone willing to cover a bit of ground, and a quad is the easiest way to do it. Point one toward Mycenae in the morning to walk through the Lion Gate, then follow open country roads down to the Venetian old town of Nafplio for a seafront ride before lunch. In between, the road climbs to Larissa Castle, where the whole plain opens up beneath you — olive groves, vineyards, the Argolic Gulf in the distance.
Argos works so well on four wheels because everything worth seeing sits within a 15 to 45 kilometre ring, linked by quiet rural roads with little traffic outside the town centre itself. A quad also gets you past the parking crunch in Nafplio's old streets and onto tracks a car or scooter simply can't take, like the farm road up to the castle or the shaded path through Kefalari.
You'll need a driving licence, though the exact category depends on how the quad is registered — light quadricycle or full quadricycle — so it's worth checking this with the rental company before you book. Non-EU visitors should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence. A deposit is standard practice, usually held on a credit card, and the amount varies by operator and by the size of the quad.
Prices run from around 15 EUR a day in low season up to 35–55 EUR a day in high season for a standard two-seat quad, with larger 450cc-plus or two-up models reaching 55–80 EUR a day.
Book well ahead if you're travelling in July or August, since demand peaks with the summer heat and vehicles run out. May, June, September and October are the sweet spot — comfortable temperatures, thinner crowds and lower prices than high season. If you can travel between November and March, you'll find the lowest rates, though be aware some smaller operators scale back or close for the winter.
Greece drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for both rider and passenger, and police enforcement is strict, with real fines for skipping one. Speed limits are 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open rural roads you'll mostly be riding. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, though it drops to a stricter 0.2 g/l for novice drivers in their first two years. Keep in mind that rental insurance almost always excludes unpaved roads and off-road use, so stick to tarmac unless your agreement says otherwise, and always carry your licence, IDP and rental papers with you while riding.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
