Kozani doesn't announce itself the way the islands do — there's no ferry queue, no beach crowd. What you get instead is wide-open Macedonian countryside: the mirror-still expanse of Lake Polyfytos, saffron fields around Krokos turning the ground violet-gold at harvest, and forest roads climbing toward Vlasti. A quad bike lets you string all of that together in a single day, stopping wherever the light looks good instead of wherever a bus happens to stop.
This is quad-bike country almost by design. The sights around Kozani sit 15 to 45 minutes out of town, connected by a mix of paved backroads and gravel lake-shore tracks that a car handles clumsily and a scooter can't really handle at all. A quad takes the loop-style route — town, lake, hill villages, back — in its stride, and the terrain around the Bourinos–Askio range rewards exactly this kind of vehicle without demanding real off-road skill.
Greece requires a driving licence for any quad, though the exact category depends on how the specific model is type-approved — check this with the rental company when you book. Riders from outside the EU should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence. Rental shops generally set their own minimum age, often above the legal floor, and you should expect to leave a deposit, usually held on a credit card, with the amount varying by operator and vehicle.
A standard single or utility quad runs 15–20 EUR per day in low season and 30–45 EUR per day in high season. Larger two-seat or higher-cc premium models can reach 45–70 EUR per day at peak times.
High season runs July to August, when demand and prices both peak. Low season stretches from November to March, with the cheapest rates but also, on some operators, reduced availability. May, June, September and October split the difference nicely — mild weather, easier booking, and prices well below the summer peak.
Greece drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for every rider and passenger, and police enforcement is strict, with real fines for skipping one. Speed limits sit at 50 km/h in town, 90 km/h on open roads and up to 110–130 km/h on faster carriageways, though smaller-engine vehicles are often capped lower. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l generally, but drops to 0.2 g/l for motorcyclists and novice drivers. Keep in mind that rental insurance almost never covers gravel, dirt tracks or genuine off-road riding — leaving the tarmac usually voids your cover entirely, so stick to the mapped routes.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
