Florina doesn't feel like a place you pass through — it feels like a place you go digging in. Tucked into the mountains near the Albanian and North Macedonian borders, this corner of Greece trades beaches for beech forests, and postcard coastlines for the wild, reed-fringed shores of the Prespa Lakes. A quad rental in Florina is how you actually reach the good stuff: the stone lanes of Nymfaio perched above the treeline, the fishing hamlet of Psarades, the winding climb up to Vigla Ski Center. None of it opens up from a bus window.
This is quad country, not scooter country. The distances between sights run 10 to 40 km — short enough for a single day out, but the roads themselves are the whole point: lakeside dirt tracks around Prespa, steep switchbacks up to Pisoderi and Vigla, gravel lanes threading through the Amyntaio vineyards. A city scooter would struggle where the tarmac runs out; a quad just keeps going, which is exactly why so many of Florina's best views sit beyond the reach of ordinary car tourists.
Licence rules for quads in Greece depend on how the vehicle is type-approved, so always confirm the exact category with the rental company before booking. In general you'll need a valid driving licence, and if you're coming from outside the EU, an International Driving Permit (IDP) as well. Expect a minimum age requirement, and a deposit — usually held on a credit card — that varies by operator and by vehicle.
Average rental prices run 15–25 EUR per day in low season and 30–45 EUR per day in high season, with premium, larger-cc models reaching 50–70 EUR per day.
High season runs July to August, when demand — and prices — peak. Low season stretches from November to March, with the quietest, cheapest days falling outside the Christmas and New Year rush. If you're after a quieter ride and a better rate, the shoulder months of spring or early autumn are worth booking ahead for.
Greece drives on the right, and helmets are compulsory for every rider and passenger — enforcement is strict, with substantial fines for skipping one. Speed limits sit at 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open road, lower on the twisting mountain routes around Florina. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l generally, but drops to 0.2 g/l for novice drivers in their first two years. Keep in mind that rental insurance almost always excludes unpaved roads and off-road use, so check with your rental company exactly which of Florina's dirt tracks are covered before you set off.

When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service.
