Picture swapping tour buses for open air and going wherever the road narrows. In Agia Paraskevi, Greece, that means bumping along past the Agiasma cave church a few minutes from where you pick up the keys, then out toward the salt pans of Kalloni, where flamingos wade in the shallows and the road stretches flat to the horizon. This is central Lesvos as locals know it — olive terraces, stone villages, and coastline that most visitors never reach.
Agia Paraskevi sits well inland, off the island's bus routes, so getting to the good stuff takes your own wheels. A quad bike rental in Agia Paraskevi handles what a scooter can't: the loose gravel tracks around Stipsi, the climb to Ipsilou Monastery, the longer hauls out to the petrified forest. Distances between sights run from a quick 8 km hop to a 40 km push, which suits a half-day loop or a full day out and back, and the mix of flat coastal tarmac with hill trails plays right into what a quad is built for.
Requirements depend on how the quad is registered, so the exact licence category is worth confirming with the rental company before you book — in general, though, you'll need a valid driving licence, and non-EU visitors should bring an International Driving Permit. Most operators set a minimum age of 18 and ask for a deposit, usually held on a credit card, before handing over the keys.
Prices move with the season. A basic quad runs roughly EUR 15–20 per day in low season, climbing to EUR 30–45 per day at the July–August peak, while larger-engine or two-seat models cost EUR 40–60 per day.
July and August bring the highest prices and the highest odds of quads selling out entirely, so book ahead if you're travelling then. If you can be flexible, May, June, September and October offer cooler riding weather and easier availability, while many shops on the island close altogether from November through March.
Greece drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for every rider, and police enforcement is strict, with substantial fines for skipping one. Speed limits sit at 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open road outside them. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l generally, but a stricter 0.2 g/l applies to motorcyclists and quad riders, so it's best to treat any alcohol and riding as a non-mix. Keep your licence, IDP and rental papers with you, and stick to paved roads — insurance almost always excludes dirt tracks and off-road use.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
