Ithaca is the kind of island that rewards curiosity, and there's no better way to satisfy it than from behind the wheel of a quad. Picture yourself climbing out of the harbor at Vathy, the bay of Molos glinting below, and heading north toward Kioni, where fishing boats bob beside old windmills and tavernas spill onto the water. This is Homer's island, small enough to circle in a day yet full of corners that most visitors never reach.
Ithaca's roads are narrow, steep and constantly switching between coastline and hill village, which is exactly where a quad earns its keep. It takes the hairpins up to Anogi or the winding climb to Kathara Monastery with an ease a car can't match, while still letting you soak up sea views a scooter struggles to enjoy on rougher rural stretches. With no real public transport network linking the north and south of the island, a **quad rental in Ithaca** is often the only practical way to string together Stavros, Frikes and Vathy in a single outing.
Requirements depend on how the quad is registered, so it's worth checking with the rental company before booking, but as a rule you'll need a valid driving licence matched to the vehicle's category, plus an International Driving Permit if you're coming from outside the EU. Most operators set a minimum age of 18 and will ask for a deposit, usually held on a credit card, before handing over the keys.
A small quad runs around 15-20 EUR per day in low season, rising to roughly 30-45 EUR during high season. Larger two-seat buggies or bigger-engine quads can reach 50-70 EUR a day at the peak of summer.
High season runs July to August, when demand peaks and prices climb along with the heat. Low season stretches from November to March, though few shops stay open through the coldest months. If you can, aim for May-June or September-October: quieter roads, milder weather and noticeably better rates. In high summer, book a few days ahead to avoid missing out.
Greece drives on the right, and helmets are compulsory for both rider and passenger — enforcement is strict and fines add up quickly. Speed limits are 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on the open road, though Ithaca's narrow, winding lanes rarely let you get near either. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l for most drivers, but a stricter 0.2 g/l applies to novice riders. Keep to paved roads: rental insurance typically excludes dirt tracks and off-road use entirely, and always carry your licence, IDP and rental papers with you as you ride.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service.
