Picture leaving the port at Patitiri behind and climbing the switchbacks toward Palia Alonnisos, the sea widening below you with every turn. That's the appeal of a quad here: you park where you like, linger at a taverna table in the old village, then drop down to Kokkinokastro's red pebbles or push north along the coast road toward Steni Vala without waiting on a bus timetable. If you want to rent a quad bike in Alonnisos, this is exactly the kind of morning it buys you.
Alonnisos is small, but its roads aren't built for cars. Steep, narrow lanes link Patitiri, the Old Village and a string of beaches along the east coast, often with tight switchbacks and stretches that turn to gravel. A quad handles all of that comfortably, and because nothing on the island is more than a few kilometres away, you can string together several stops in an afternoon — including quieter spots the limited local bus never reaches.
Requirements depend on how the quad is registered, so it's worth confirming the exact category with the rental company before booking — but you will need a valid driving licence in every case, and an International Driving Permit if you're travelling from outside the EU. Rental shops on the island typically set their own minimum age, often above the legal baseline, and ask for a security deposit, usually held on a credit card, that's released when the quad comes back undamaged.
A basic quad runs about EUR 15–20 per day in low season and EUR 25–35 per day in high season. Larger or newer models, including buggies, go for around EUR 35–45 per day.
July and August are high season: expect the highest prices and quads selling out early, so book ahead if you're travelling then. Many shops close over the low season, roughly November to March, so shoulder months — May, June, September and October — are often the sweet spot: quieter roads, milder heat and better rates.
Greece drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for both rider and passenger, and police do check. Speed limits top out at 50 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h on open roads, though island roads rarely allow you to reach that anyway. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, tighter at 0.2 g/l for anyone riding on a licence held less than two years. Rental insurance almost never covers unpaved tracks or beaches, so it pays to keep to tarmac. Once you're ready, use the search form at the top of the page to book. Have a nice trip!
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
