Wedged between Barcelona's suburbs and the Garraf hills, Viladecans is the kind of place where a quad bike stops being a novelty and starts being the obvious choice. One morning you're bumping along the dirt tracks toward Castell d'Eramprunyà, the ruined hilltop castle above Begues, and by afternoon you're parked at the edge of Platja de Viladecans with sand between your toes. Few vehicles let you cover that much ground, that much variety, in a single day.
That's really the appeal of a quad bike rental in Viladecans: the terrain refuses to sit still. You've got flat farmland to the west, a rugged limestone massif inland, and a beach strip to the south — too spread out to walk, too rough in places for a bicycle, and often too narrow for a car. A quad shrugs off the unpaved tracks around Garraf, handles the gravel lanes through the agricultural park, and still keeps up on the paved run down to Castelldefels. It's the one vehicle built for this particular mix of countryside, coast and hill.
Rental companies generally ask for a car driving licence, since a road-legal quad is usually treated the same way. If your licence isn't from the EU or EEA, it's worth carrying an International Driving Permit alongside it, as many desks ask for one. Most operators set their own minimum age — often 18 or 21, depending on the model — and will block a deposit on a credit card in the renter's name before handing over the keys.
Prices swing a lot with the season. A standard quad runs 15–25 EUR per day in low season, and 35–60 EUR per day once summer crowds arrive. Larger or premium models sit higher, around 70–120 EUR per day, though multi-day rentals often bring the average down.
July and August are high season on this stretch of coast, along with Easter week, so book ahead if you're travelling then. November through March is low season on the mainland, with the calmest roads and the lowest prices — though May, June, September and October tend to be the sweet spot, combining good weather with fewer crowds and rates that haven't hit summer peaks yet.
Spain drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for riders on all roads, at all times, and dipped headlights must stay on day and night. Speed limits top out at 90 km/h on conventional roads outside town, dropping to 50 km/h in built-up areas and as low as 30 km/h on single-lane urban streets. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, tightened to 0.3 g/l for anyone who's held a licence less than two years.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
