Córdoba rewards anyone willing to leave the pavement. Pick up a quad here and the old town's tangle of lanes around the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba is only the warm-up — cross the Puente Romano and within twenty minutes you're climbing dirt tracks through the pine forests of the Sierra de Córdoba, engine humming instead of a tour bus grinding gears. This is a city built for a vehicle that doesn't care whether the surface underneath is cobblestone or gravel.
That's really the whole case for a quad in Córdoba: the centre is dense, largely pedestrianised and a nightmare to park a car in, yet the moment you're past the ring road you're on open rural roads and hill tracks that a scooter would struggle with and a car would feel wasted on. A quad shifts gears between both worlds without you ever having to think about it, which is why day trips out to Medina Azahara or Almodóvar del Río feel like part of the adventure rather than a slog to get there.
Because a road-legal quad needs a driving licence, rental desks in Córdoba will normally ask to see a standard car licence rather than anything motorcycle-specific. If your licence wasn't issued in the EU, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it — most operators expect one. Rental companies typically set their own minimum age, often 18 or 21 depending on the machine, and will usually block a deposit on a credit card in your name before handing over the keys.
Expect to pay 15-25 EUR per day in low season and 35-55 EUR per day in high season, with premium models running 60-90 EUR per day.
If you're chasing the lowest prices, aim for the November-to-February low season, though be ready for cooler, wetter weather on the tracks. High season runs July and August across Spain, plus Easter week — book ahead if you're travelling then, since both prices and availability tighten. May-June and September-October sit nicely in between: mild weather, thinner crowds, and rates closer to the low end.
Spain drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for anyone riding a road-legal quad, no exceptions. Speed limits top out at 90 km/h on conventional roads outside town, dropping to 50 km/h in built-up areas and as low as 30 km/h on single-lane urban roads — worth remembering on the approach roads around Almodóvar del Río. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, tightened to 0.3 g/l for anyone who's held a licence less than two years. Handheld phones and headphones are off-limits while riding, so plan your route before you set off.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service.
