Marbella looks like a beach town from the coast road, but turn inland and the mountains take over almost immediately. A quad bike is what lets you do both in one afternoon — cruise past the yachts in Puerto Banús, then climb into the rough tracks of Sierra Blanca with the whole coastline dropping away behind you. It's a different Marbella up there, one most visitors on foot never see.
That contrast is exactly why a quad suits this place better than a scooter or a rental car. Down in town you've got tight lanes and beachfront traffic; a few minutes inland, the paved roads give way to unpaved mountain tracks toward villages like Ojén and Istán. A standard rental can't follow those tracks, and a scooter has neither the clearance nor the grip for them. If you want to rent a quad bike in Marbella, this is the terrain it was built for.
Rental companies in Marbella will normally want to see a car driving licence, since that's what most road-legal quads are classified under in Spain. Expect a minimum age of 18-21 depending on the operator and vehicle. If your licence isn't from the EU or EEA, bring an International Driving Permit along with your home licence — most rental desks ask for it. A deposit is standard practice too, usually blocked on a credit card in your name, with the amount depending on the model.
Rates in Marbella run from around 15-25 EUR per day in low season up to 35-60 EUR per day in high season, with premium models reaching 60-90 EUR per day.
High season on the Costa del Sol runs through July and August, plus Easter week, when both prices and demand are at their highest — book ahead if you're travelling then. Low season stretches from November to March, with the calmer months of May-June and September-October often the sweet spot: good weather, thinner crowds, and better rates than midsummer.
Spain drives on the right, and helmets are compulsory for every rider on the road, no exceptions. Speed limits top out at 90 km/h on conventional roads outside town and drop to 50 km/h — often 30 km/h — once you're back in Marbella's streets. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, tighter at 0.3 g/l if you've held your licence less than two years. Keep your phone off and your headlights on, day or night — both are the law here.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
