Park the car for good and let a quad take you where the tarmac stops. In Castellón de la Plana that means one morning cruising the seafront past the Faro del Grao de Castellón, and the next climbing dirt tracks into the Desert de les Palmes, the wooded mountain massif rising right behind the city. It's the kind of contrast few destinations offer within a twenty-minute ride.
Castellón works so well for this because the city itself is compact and flat, but the terrain around it is anything but. A car can't leave the asphalt, and a scooter won't survive the unpaved climbs above town, while a quad handles both the coastal cruise and the rougher tracks inland with no trouble. Rent a quad bike in Castellón de la Plana and you get the whole province in one trip — sandy shoreline, pine-backed beaches, and forest roads climbing toward Penyagolosa.
Road-legal quads in Spain require a driving licence, and rental desks in Castellón will normally ask to see a category B (car) licence. If your licence isn't from the EU or EEA, bring an International Driving Permit along with your home licence — most rental companies expect one. Beyond the licence, expect a minimum age requirement (typically 18 or 21, depending on the operator) and a deposit blocked on a credit card in your name, with the amount varying by vehicle and company.
Prices during low season run around 15–25 EUR per day, climbing to 35–55 EUR per day in high season. Premium models go for 60–90 EUR per day.
High season on Spain's mainland runs through July and August, when Castellón's beaches and coastal routes are busiest and prices peak. Low season stretches from November to March, with quieter roads and the cheapest daily rates. If you'd rather skip both extremes, May–June and September–October give you good weather without the summer crowds — and it's worth booking ahead either way to make sure your preferred model is available.
Spain drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory at all times for riders and passengers on mopeds and motorcycles, and quad riders should wear one too. Speed limits top out at 90 km/h on conventional roads and drop to 50 km/h in built-up areas, down to 30 km/h on single-lane urban roads. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, reduced to 0.3 g/l for riders with less than two years' experience. Keep your phone away while riding — handheld use and headphones are both prohibited behind the handlebars.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service.
