Sant Joan d'Alacant is the kind of place where the coast, the hills and a handful of quiet inland towns all sit within easy reach of each other — close enough to link in one day, far enough apart that walking gets old fast. Point a quad south and you're at the sand and beach bars of Playa de San Juan in minutes; keep going and the rocky coves around Cabo de las Huertas open up, with Castillo de Santa Bárbara watching over the whole bay from its hilltop further along. It's the sort of ride that makes a short trip feel like you've actually covered ground.
What makes this stretch of the Costa Blanca so well suited to a quad is the mix of terrain packed into a small radius. Regular cars can't get onto the dirt tracks that climb Serra Grossa or wind through the quarry roads of Sierra de Fontcalent, and a city bike won't get you the 15–30 km out to El Campello or the inland town of Xixona without a long, sweaty slog. A quad closes that gap: sturdy enough for the rough patches, quick enough for the road hops in between, and much more fun than sitting in traffic. If you're weighing up how to **rent a quad bike in Sant Joan d'Alacant**, this is really the whole case for it in one sentence.
For a road-legal quad, rental desks normally ask to see a car driving licence, and most set their own minimum age — usually 18 or sometimes 21 depending on the model. If your licence isn't from the EU or EEA, bring an International Driving Permit along with your home licence, since it's commonly requested at pickup even where it isn't strictly required by law. A deposit is standard practice too, usually held on a credit card in the renter's name, with the amount depending on the vehicle you choose.
Prices swing quite a bit with the season. Our own listings start from 15 EUR per day for the smallest model in low season, while a typical day's rental across the area runs from around 15-25 EUR in winter up to 40-70 EUR during the summer peak. Larger or two-seat quads sit higher, around 60-90 EUR per day regardless of season.
High season runs through July and August, when the coast fills up and prices climb along with demand — booking ahead is worth it if you want a specific model. Low season stretches from November to March, when rates drop and availability is easy to come by. If you'd rather skip both extremes, May, June, September and October offer some of the best riding weather at friendlier prices.
Spain drives on the right, and a few rules matter for quad riders. Speed limits top out at 50 km/h in built-up areas, dropping to 30 km/h on single-lane urban roads, and 90 km/h on the open road outside town. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l, lower still for newer drivers. Helmets are compulsory for anyone riding a moped or motorcycle-class vehicle at all times, so plan on wearing one throughout your ride, and keep your phone off the handlebars — handheld use while riding is against the law.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service.
