If someday you will be in Nha Trang, Vietnam, do not think that your only options for getting around are walking and public transport. You can always rent a motorcycle in Nha Trang on our website and explore this beach city and its surroundings at your own pace — tracing the curve of the bay past Po Nagar at sunrise, climbing to Long Son Pagoda for a view over the rooftops, or riding north along the coast to the quiet sands of Doc Let. A motorcycle is by far the best way to reach the headlands, waterfalls and empty beaches that lie beyond the resort strip.
Nha Trang wraps around a long, gently curving bay, and its best sights are spread along the coast rather than packed into one walkable centre. The roads are wide and well surfaced, traffic is manageable outside the rush hour, and everything from ancient Cham towers to granite rock formations and hillside waterfalls is within easy reach on two wheels.
Required documents vary between rental companies, but common rules are as follows: you should be at least 18 years old; for engines up to 125cc an A1 licence is usually expected, while larger motorcycles call for a full A-class licence. Foreign visitors should carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) together with their home licence — strictly, a Vietnamese-recognised motorcycle licence is required to ride legally, so check the terms of the specific provider on the booking page. Most companies also ask for a deposit, paid in cash or by card and refunded when you return the motorcycle in good condition.
Motorcycle rental in Nha Trang starts from around 650,000 VND per day for a mid-size machine and runs up to roughly 1,100,000–1,350,000 VND per day for a bigger or newer model. What you pay depends on the engine size and, importantly, on the time of year. Prices in Nha Trang follow a fairly clear seasonal pattern:
Within any season, weekends and Vietnamese public holidays are the real peak — that is when the cheapest bikes sell out first and prices edge up. Book a few days ahead to lock in the best rate.
Nha Trang enjoys an unusually long dry season for the Vietnamese coast, running from around January to August, with warm sunny days and calm seas — this is the most comfortable and most popular time to ride. The wetter season runs from September to December, when storms and heavy rain are more likely, especially in October and November. If you want the most reliable weather, aim for the spring or early summer months; if you want the best price and don’t mind an occasional downpour, book toward the end of the year. Either way, book a few days in advance to guarantee availability.
In Vietnam you ride on the right-hand side of the road. A helmet is compulsory for both rider and passenger, and the police do enforce it, particularly along the main beachfront boulevard. Speed limits in built-up areas are typically 40–50 km/h, rising on the open coastal roads. There is effectively zero tolerance for drink-driving. Nha Trang’s wide streets make riding easier than in older Vietnamese cities, but the beachfront strip gets busy with tourists and taxis in the evening. Ride defensively, keep your lights on, use your horn lightly to signal your presence rather than in anger, and take roundabouts and junctions gently until you feel comfortable in the flow.
On our website you can rent the following types of motorcycles: cruiser, sport, touring, naked, adventure or dual-sport, enduro, semi-automatic, classic or retro, chopper, trail.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a motorcycle without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online motorcycle reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: integral helmet, GPS navigation, intercom, unlimited mileage, top case, side cases, boots, jacket, gloves, individual guide or tour, map, full insurance, one-way rental, delivery to your hotel, delivery to Cam Ranh airport.
