Casablanca doesn't reward walking. It's a big, working city, and the best of it — the wide sweep of the Hassan II Mosque esplanade, the beach clubs along the Corniche d'Ain Diab, the quiet lanes of the Old Medina — is spread out along a coastline that a car just crawls through. On two wheels you slip past the jams and get there while everyone else is still stuck at a light.
That's really where a motorcycle earns its keep here. Casablanca's traffic is heavy and often slow-moving, but the coastal roads themselves are flat, wide and smoothly paved, so you're not fighting mountain switchbacks or gravel — just enjoying the ride. It also makes it easy to string together a full day: mosque, medina, downtown, then out along the coast to Mohammedia, all without ever hunting for a parking spot.
You'll need a valid motorcycle licence — a car-only licence generally isn't enough for anything beyond the smallest scooters, and requirements for those can vary by operator, so it's worth confirming when you book. An International Driving Permit is recommended alongside your national licence. Most rental companies set a minimum age of 21, even though the legal minimum for motorised vehicles is 18, and some ask that you've held your licence for a minimum period. Expect to leave a deposit, usually cash or a card imprint, along with your passport details.
A standard scooter or small motorcycle runs roughly 250–300 MAD per day in low season and climbs to about 400–600 MAD per day in high season. Larger-cc or premium models go from around 600 MAD and up per day.
High season runs March to May and September to November, when mild weather makes riding easy and demand — and prices — climb accordingly. Low season falls in July and August, when inland heat keeps things quieter, and again from November to February, when rates drop to their lowest. If you're chasing the best price, booking in the shoulder of low season is your best bet; if you want the best weather, plan around spring or autumn and book a little ahead.
Morocco drives on the right, with overtaking on the left. Helmets are legally required for both rider and passenger, and while enforcement can be patchy, you should always wear the one your rental includes. Speed limits sit around 60 km/h in built-up areas, 100 km/h on open roads and 120 km/h on motorways, with frequent radar checks near town entrances and exits. Alcohol and riding don't mix here at all — Morocco takes a zero-tolerance approach to drink-driving, so keep the two entirely separate.

When you make an online motorbike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: integral helmet, GPS navigation, intercom, unlimited mileage, top case, side cases, boots, jacket, gloves, individual guide or tour, map, full insurance, one-way rental, or delivery to your chosen address.
