Agadir moves at its own relaxed pace, and a motorcycle is the best way to get inside that rhythm. Ride up to Agadir Oufella for a sweep of the bay, then let the coast road pull you north past the surf breaks toward Taghazout in time for sunset. This isn't a city where you queue for a taxi and hope — it's one where you decide, mid-morning, that you'd rather be at Paradise Valley instead.
What makes Agadir suit two wheels so well is the shape of it: the real highlights don't cluster downtown, they're strung out along 20 to 45 minutes of coastal and mountain road. Traffic here is calm compared to Marrakech or Fes, so you're not fighting chaos to get anywhere. A scooter or motorcycle closes the distance between the marina and the mountains, and lets you pull over the moment a viewpoint or a beach catches your eye — something a bus schedule will never allow.
You'll generally need a valid motorcycle licence for anything beyond the smallest engine sizes — a car-only licence usually isn't enough once you move up in displacement, so check the exact class with the rental company when you book. An International Driving Permit is a good idea alongside your national licence. Most operators set a minimum age of 21, and you'll leave a deposit, either in cash or as a card imprint, along with your passport details.
A standard scooter or 125cc bike runs roughly 250-300 MAD a day in low season and climbs to 350-450 MAD in high season. Step up to a larger-displacement or premium model and you're looking at 500-800+ MAD a day.
If you're chasing the lowest prices, aim for May-June or September-October, when the shoulder season keeps both temperatures and rates down. December-February and July-August are busiest and priciest, so book a few weeks ahead if your trip falls in one of those windows — availability tightens fast around the holidays.
Morocco drives on the right, overtaking on the left. Helmets are legally required for both rider and passenger, and even where enforcement is patchy, it's worth wearing the one your rental includes regardless. Speed limits sit around 60 km/h in town, 100 km/h on open roads, and 120 km/h on motorways, with frequent radar checks near town entrances. Morocco takes a zero-tolerance approach to drink-driving, so if you're riding, skip the alcohol entirely.

When you make an online motorbike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: integral helmet, GPS navigation, intercom, unlimited mileage, top case, side cases, boots, jacket, gloves, individual guide or tour, map, full insurance, one-way rental, or delivery to your chosen address.
