Antalya rewards anyone willing to go beyond the beach chair, and a motorcycle is the fastest way to earn that reward. Ride the coastal road past Konyaaltı Beach in the morning, then climb into the pine forest toward the ruins at Termessos by afternoon, and you will have covered more ground — and seen more of the real Antalya — than most visitors manage in a week. Add a stop where the Düden Waterfalls spill straight into the sea, and you start to understand why so many travellers choose to rent a motorcycle in Antalya rather than wait for a bus.
This city was practically built for two wheels. Kaleiçi's lanes are too narrow and twisted for a car to enjoy, the coast road to Kemer bends along the Taurus foothills for kilometers at a time, and the ancient sites at Perge and Aspendos sit inland, far enough apart that walking is out of the question but close enough that a rental car feels like overkill. A bike slips through summer traffic, parks wherever you like, and turns a scattered list of sights into one continuous ride.
For scooters up to 125cc you generally need an M or A1 category licence — a car-only licence usually is not enough, so bring the right entitlement on your home licence along with an International Driving Permit (IDP). Full-size motorcycles require the matching A1, A2 or A licence for the engine size. Most operators set the minimum age at 18, though larger machines can require riders to be older. Expect to leave a deposit, either a card hold or cash; a passport photocopy plus deposit is the safer arrangement rather than handing over the original document.
A 125–160cc scooter runs around 950–1200 TRY per day in low season and climbs to roughly 1800–2500 TRY per day in high season. Larger touring or adventure motorcycles above 300cc start around 3000–5000 TRY per day.
High season runs June to August, when the coast is busiest and prices are highest — book ahead if you are set on a particular model. Low season stretches from November to March, with lower rates but fewer shops open. If you can choose your dates, May, June, September and October give you good weather, thinner crowds and easier riding temperatures than the midsummer heat.
Turkey drives on the right. Helmets are compulsory for both rider and passenger on any motorised two-wheeler, including small scooters, and police do check. Speed limits generally run 50 km/h in town and 90 km/h on rural roads, with motorcycles held to somewhat lower limits than cars, so ride within the flow of traffic rather than pushing it. The blood-alcohol limit is 0.05% for private riders, and roadside testing is routine — the safest number is zero. Traffic in the resort areas gets dense and unpredictable in summer, so ride defensively and keep your headlight on, as most riders here do by habit.
On our website you can rent the following types of motorcycles: cruiser, sport, touring, standard, classic, dual-purpose, dirt bikes, street, naked bikes or roadsters, choppers, custom, streetfighter, sport-touring, dual-sport, on-road, off-road, adventure motorcycles, supermoto, scrambler, motorcycle with sidecar, enduro, motocross mx, trail, motards, tricycles, bikes with automatic or manual gears, luxury motorbikes.

Most providers include basic third-party liability insurance in the rental price, with options to upgrade to fuller coverage that reduces or removes your deposit liability in case of damage or theft. Always confirm exactly what is and isn’t covered before you set off.
When you make an online motorbike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: integral helmet, GPS navigation, intercom, unlimited mileage, top case, side cases, boots, jacket, gloves, individual guide or tour, map, full insurance, one-way rental, or delivery to your chosen address.
Most of our motorcycle rental providers have years of experience and will equip you with a well-maintained bike, helmet and insurance for the ride ahead. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a motorcycle locally, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
