Osh sits at the point where the Fergana Valley gives way to the Pamir-Alay foothills, and that alone makes it one of the best places in Central Asia to get behind the handlebars of a quad. Climb up to Sulaiman-Too in the morning, wander the stalls of Osh Bazaar along the Ak-Buura river by midday, and by afternoon you can be splashing through river crossings on your way to the turquoise water of Papan Reservoir. Few cities let you swing so easily from ancient shrines to open mountain track in the same day.
A scooter or a rental sedan won't get you past the edge of town here — the gravel switchbacks toward Papan, the pastureland tracks through the Kurshab valley and the rough approach roads to villages like Sary-Mogol all call for something tougher. A quad handles that terrain without demanding off-road motorcycle experience, which is exactly why it's become the vehicle of choice for visitors who want to see the Pamir-Alay foothills rather than just the city that sits below them.
Rules here are more relaxed than in Europe: quads are generally rented for off-road and tour use without a strict licence check, though a valid driving licence is expected if you plan to cross any public roads. Bringing an International Driving Permit alongside your home licence is still the safest bet. Most operators set their own minimum age, typically 18, and will ask for a deposit — cash or a document hold, with the amount varying by company.
During low season a basic quad runs around 1300–1600 KGS per day. In high season, expect 2500–3500 KGS per day for a standard model, and 4000–5000 KGS per day for larger 4x4 quads or multi-day mountain packages.
June to September is high season, with July and August the priciest and busiest months — book ahead if you want a quad ready for a run up to the Alay Valley or Sary-Mogol. November to March is low season, when cheaper rates come with the trade-off that many alpine tracks are closed by snow. If your trip revolves around **quad rental in Osh** for the high routes, aim for the July–August window and reserve a few weeks out.
Kyrgyzstan drives on the right. Helmets are required for riders, speed limits are 60 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h outside them, and there is effectively zero tolerance for alcohol — don't ride after drinking at all. Expect police checkpoints on the way out of town, so keep your licence, IDP and vehicle documents within reach. On mountain routes, watch for livestock on the road, unmarked gravel and sudden weather changes on the higher passes.

If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
