No — ATVs are not permitted on main city streets or highways. Rides are restricted to private land, desert zones, dry riverbeds, and approved off-road trails — always with a guide.
Local guides ensure safe navigation, prevent damage to fragile desert ecosystems, and provide access to permitted zones (e.g., wadis, palm grove perimeters, film location backroads).
Helmets and goggles are standard. Optional extras may include gloves, GPS, photo/video service, and refreshment stops.
Most run 2–4 hours, including safety briefing and gear setup. Full-day tours with lunch are available.
Operators usually offer pickup from central Ouarzazate hotels or designated meeting points outside the city to avoid urban riding.
