Picture swapping the tour bus for your own set of wheels and heading straight into the hamada — the flat, rocky desert that surrounds Ouarzazat on every side. A **quad bike rental in Ouarzazat** puts you on the piste to Aït Benhaddou, the fortified ksar whose red clay towers have starred in more films than most actors, and out to the palm-shaded calm of the Fint Oasis, where the Berber village life hasn't changed much in decades. This is Morocco with the dust still on it.
Ouarzazat itself is a small, easy town to drive through, so a quad isn't really about beating traffic here — it's about reaching what traffic can't. The kasbahs, oases and film locations scattered around the city sit across distances too far to walk and terrain too rough for a rental car, but exactly right for a quad. Guided 4x4 tours stick to marked roads; a quad lets you follow the same desert tracks local riders use, at your own pace.
Guided off-road quad tours around Ouarzazat are commonly run without a formal licence check, but if you plan to cross any public road you'll need a valid driving licence, and an International Driving Permit is recommended alongside it. Most rental companies set their own minimum age, typically 18 and sometimes 21, and will ask for a deposit — usually cash or a card imprint — plus your passport details. Confirm the exact terms with your rental company before you book.
Expect to pay around 250-350 MAD per day for a basic quad in low season, rising to 400-600 MAD per day in high season. Larger or newer quads, or packages that bundle in fuel and a helmet, run from 600-900 MAD per day.
October to March, and November to February in particular, is when Ouarzazat sees the most riders, so book ahead if you're travelling in that window. June to August is quieter and cheaper, but the daytime heat can make long rides uncomfortable, so plan for early mornings or late afternoons if you rent then.
Morocco drives on the right, with overtaking on the left. Helmets are legally required for riders, and you should wear the one supplied with your rental even where enforcement is loose. Speed limits run roughly 60 km/h in town, up to 100 km/h on open roads outside it, and Morocco takes a zero-tolerance approach to riding after any alcohol. Out on the pistes, watch for donkey carts, pedestrians and unlit vehicles, and plan to be back before dark.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
