Krakow's cobbled Old Town looks best on foot, but the real reward comes once you leave it behind. Point a quad south along the Vistula and within half an hour you're rolling up to the cliffside Tyniec Benedictine Abbey, or heading further out to descend into the salt-carved chambers of the Wieliczka Salt Mine. This is the kind of Krakow that stays out of the guidebooks — and a quad gets you there faster than a tour bus and with a lot more freedom than your own two feet.
The Old Town itself is compact and largely closed to traffic, so a quad's real value shows once the pavement runs out. Krakow sits at the edge of river paths, quarry lakes and forest tracks that a car handles awkwardly and a scooter can't touch once the asphalt turns to gravel. A quad bridges both worlds, letting you mix riverside boulevards with the rougher terrain around Niepołomice Forest or the limestone valleys near Ojców in a single afternoon loop.
For road-legal quads, Polish rental companies usually accept a standard category B car licence, which is exactly what most travellers already carry. Off-road-only quads used on private tracks are typically rented without a licence check at all. An International Driving Permit generally isn't required for EU and EEA licence holders, though it's worth confirming if your licence uses a non-Latin script. Expect operators to ask for a deposit, either a card pre-authorisation or cash, along with your passport or ID — the exact amount depends on the vehicle and the company. Most rental firms also set their own minimum age, commonly 18 or older.
During low season you can expect to pay around 60–75 PLN per day. Prices climb in the warmer months, with high-season rentals running 90–130 PLN per day, and larger or newer two-seat models reaching 150–220 PLN per day.
If you're planning a summer trip, book ahead — June through August is high season, when quads are in the highest demand and prices sit at their yearly peak. Travelling outside that window, particularly November to February, means lower prices but also colder, wetter riding conditions. May, June and September tend to offer the best balance: mild weather, long daylight and lighter demand than the July–August rush.
Poland drives on the right, and dipped headlights are mandatory on quads and all motor vehicles, day and night, all year round. Helmets are compulsory for riders and passengers. Speed limits are 50 km/h in built-up areas around the clock, rising to 90 km/h on ordinary roads outside town. The blood alcohol limit is effectively zero at 0.2 g/l, so plan on riding sober. Give way to trams and to pedestrians on or approaching a crossing, and keep your phone out of hand unless it's fully hands-free.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
