West Palm Beach offers a perfect setting for cycling. With year-round sunshine, palm-lined boulevards, and oceanfront paths, bicycles provide a relaxed and eco-friendly way to see the city. Unlike driving, riding a bike lets you slow down, take in the sights, and discover neighborhoods that you might otherwise miss. Whether you’re cruising along the waterfront or weaving through cultural districts, a bicycle is the most flexible way to experience West Palm Beach.
No driver’s license is needed to rent a bicycle. A valid ID is typically required, and some shops may ask for a refundable deposit. Helmets are provided or available at an extra charge, and many companies also include locks or baskets. Always check the terms of the rental company before booking.
Bikes are rented in good condition and must be returned the same way. If damage occurs, costs may be deducted from your deposit. Most providers require drop-off at the original shop, but some companies offer delivery to hotels, or even pick-up at alternative locations.
Cyclists must follow Florida road rules. This means riding with the flow of traffic, stopping at traffic lights, signaling turns, and using lights at night. Helmets are required for minors under 16.
