Renting a two-wheeler is a great way to explore Malaysia.
We offer scooter and motorcycle rental in these cities of Malaysia:You'll need:
- A copy of your passport (the original cannot be kept);
- A national driver's license + an International Driving Permit (IDP);
- Cash or card for payment and a deposit (50-200 MYR).
Cost:
- Scooters (100-125 cc): from 60-90 MYR/day;
- Motorcycles (150-200 cc): from 100-150 MYR/day.
Discounts are available for long-term rentals (weekly or longer).
1. Langkawi:
- Dataran Lang (Eagle Square);
- Pulau Payar Marine Park;
- Gunung Raya Mountain (sunset from above).
2. Penang:
- Georgetown (colonial architecture);

- Driving is on the left. Drive on a quiet street for the first 15 minutes to get used to it.
- Helmets are required (for both driver and passenger);
- Check brakes, headlights, and tire treads before driving;
- Avoid driving in the rain (slippery roads).
- Fuel is cheap (≈2.05 MYR/liter), and gas stations are ubiquitous.
- Parking - there are designated parking spaces in tourist areas, but restrictions may apply in city centers.
- Insurance - check what's covered (off-roading is often not covered).
- Documents - always carry your IDP and a copy of the rental agreement.
- Book in advance during peak season (December–February).
- Take photos or videos of any damage to the scooter before renting.
- Use offline maps.
- Bring a raincoat and sunscreen.
- For mountain roads, choose a scooter with good traction.
