Bishkek looks like a straightforward, tree-lined capital until you point yourself south, toward the wall of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. Within the hour you can be bouncing along the gravel road into Ala Archa National Park, or working the rutted tracks of Alamedin Gorge with the river crossing your path more than once. A quad turns what would be a long hike or a car ride that stalls at the trailhead into a genuine off-road day — you go further, faster, and further off the beaten path than most visitors ever get.
The city sits right against the mountains, which is exactly why a quad makes sense here. The gorges around Bishkek are close but rough: gravel switchbacks, riverbeds, pasture tracks that a rental car has no business attempting and a scooter can't survive. An ATV shrugs off all of it, and because you're riding solo or in a small group, you can cover a gorge-and-back loop in an afternoon without booking a driver or a guided 4x4 tour.
Quad-bikes here are mostly rented for off-road and tour use, so a formal licence check is uncommon, though a driving licence is expected if you'll cross any public road. The safer assumption is to bring your home driving licence along with an International Driving Permit. Minimum age is generally 18, sometimes higher depending on the rental company, and you should expect to leave a deposit — usually cash or a document held against the vehicle, with the amount varying by operator.
During low season a basic single-seat quad runs roughly 1,500–2,500 KGS per day. In high season, expect 3,000–5,000 KGS for a standard to mid-size machine, and 5,500–8,000+ KGS for a larger-engine or two-seat ATV, often with a guide or on a multi-day package.
June through September is the reliable window, with July and August as true high season — book ahead if you're arriving then, since the best machines go quickly. Outside that, from November to March, snow closes the higher alpine tracks and prices drop, so it suits a rider more interested in the lower valleys than the passes.
Kyrgyzstan drives on the right. Helmets are required, speed limits sit at 60 km/h in built-up areas and 90 km/h outside them, and there's effectively zero tolerance for alcohol before riding. Police checkpoints are common on the routes out of the city, so keep your licence, IDP and rental documents within reach. On the mountain tracks themselves, watch for livestock crossing, loose gravel and weather that turns fast — conditions that make a rented quad, not a rented car, the right tool for the ride.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.

Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
