Jerusalem is a city of stone walls and ancient rooflines, but step past its edges and the landscape turns wild fast. Within half an hour of the Old City you can be tearing across the open sand and chalk hills of the Judean Desert, climbing toward Mitzpe Jericho for a view over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea that most visitors never get close to. This is where a quad-bike rental in Jerusalem earns its keep — on our website you can book one and go find that view yourself.
A quad suits this city because Jerusalem sits right on the seam between urban and desert terrain. Regular cars and city buses can't follow the loose, steep tracks that open up east of town, and on foot the heat and distances make it impractical. Four-wheel-drive stability turns those same tracks into an afternoon of riding through canyons, ridgelines and desert basins that would otherwise stay out of reach.
Road-legal quads require a driving licence, though most tourist riding happens off-road on organised desert tours, where the operator sets its own age and licence conditions. As a rule of thumb, expect a minimum age around 18, sometimes higher for larger machines, and a credit-card deposit held in the renter's name. An International Driving Permit isn't a strict legal requirement in Israel, but it's worth carrying one and checking with the operator before you book.
Our listings start from around 60 ILS per day in low season for a standard single quad. Prices move with the calendar and with the machine:
Passover in spring and Sukkot in autumn, plus the summer months of July and August, count as high season, when demand — and prices — peak. Winter, from December through February outside the Hanukkah and Christmas week, is the quietest and cheapest stretch, though the desert can also be genuinely pleasant to ride then, once you're past the coldest snaps. Booking a few days ahead is generally enough, but during the big holiday weeks it pays to lock in your quad earlier.
Israel drives on the right. Helmets are mandatory for every quad and motorcycle rider, no exceptions by age. Speed limits sit at 50 km/h in built-up areas and 80 km/h on undivided inter-urban roads, rising higher on divided highways — posted signs always take precedence. The general blood-alcohol limit is 0.05%, and it's stricter still for new and young drivers, so the safest approach is to treat it as zero tolerance. Desert tracks get hot and glare-heavy by midday in summer, so an early start with plenty of water makes for a far more comfortable ride.
On our website you can rent the following types of quad bikes: sport ATV, utility quad, two-seater quad, automatic quad, manual-shift quad, 4x4 quad, buggy (UTV), off-road racing quad, kids' quad, and larger touring ATVs.
On our website you can hire quad bikes from the following manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, Can-Am, CFMoto, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Linhai, TGB.
Usually basic third-party insurance is included in the rental price. If you wish to have more protection you can purchase additional CDW insurance, which limits your risk to the amount of your deposit. If you wish to rent a quad bike without a deposit and with zero risk, you will need to add full insurance to your reservation.
When you make an online quad bike reservation you can also order the following extra services and equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, individual guide or instructor, photo and video service of your ride, transfer to the starting point of your ride, full insurance, delivery to the address you choose.
Most of our local quad bike rentals have many years of experience and will provide you with a well-maintained quad, helmet, guide and friendly service. The number of companies we work with is increasing every day, so if you want to rent a quad bike, just use the search form at the top of the page. Have a nice trip!
