Motorcycle Rental in Bandung – Guide with all information

Bandung is not just a city — it’s a gateway to West Java’s volcanic spine. Within 30 kilometres, you can stand on the rim of an active crater, walk through moss-draped cloud forest, or sip tea in a plantation where the air is cool and still. To reach these places on your own schedule — without relying on fixed-departure tours — you need a motorcycle. Scooters falter on sustained climbs; cars struggle with narrow access roads. A dual-sport or adventure motorcycle, however, handles the gravel of Kawah Putih’s upper trails, the switchbacks to Tangkuban Perahu, and the forest tracks near Ciwidey with equal confidence.

Required documents

  1. You can rent a small motorcycle with an engine capacity of 125cc with a car license B class or any moto license A1/A2/A category;
  2. Full A (moto) license required for all other types of motorcycles with an engine capacity above 125cc.
    Some rental companies ask for an International Drivers Permit (IDP) and security deposit which will be returned at the end; always check the terms of specific providers on our platform before booking.

On our website you can rent the following types of motorcycles: cruiser, sport, touring, standard, classic, dual-purpose, dirt bikes, street, naked bikes or roadsters, choppers, custom, streetfighter, sport-touring, dual-sport, on-road, off-road, adventure motorcycles, supermoto, scrambler, motorcycle with sidecar, enduro, motocross mx, trail, motards, tricycles, bikes with automatic or manual gears, luxury motorbikes.

Manufacturers include Royal Enfield, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW, KTM — with the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Honda CRF250L particularly suited to Bandung’s terrain.

Extras

When you make an online motorbike reservation you also can order the following extra services and equipment: integral helmet, GPS navigation, intercom, unlimited mileage, top case, side cases, boots, jacket, gloves, individual guide or tour, map, full insurance, one-way rental, delivery to hotel, railway station, or airport.
